Seven years ago…

I went to a party at my friend Emily’s house.  It was her birthday, and come to find out it was his birthday too.  I remember when I walked into her house he was leaning against the door frame going into the kitchen.  I noticed him right away.  Emily introduced us and I thought they were dating.  I knew she was dating someone, and I couldn’t remember his name and he was definitely cute so I thought he was the guy.  Turns out she was actually dating his roommate.   So we met at this party, but I was kinda interested in someone else so I didn’t really think too much about him.  Then a couple of weeks later a girl at work asked if I was dating anyone (no) and if she could set me up with her brother (hmmm, I guess so).  She brought in a picture of him and I knew I knew him from somewhere, but couldn’t exactly place him.  She said a lot of people think he looks like that Green Day guy and he did, so I just brushed it off as the reason I recognized him.  A week or so later he called me and we were talking when we put it together that we had met at the party and that we knew A LOT of the same people.  Our first date was breakfast and sledding.  It was a lot of fun and I knew I liked him.  And a year and half after that we got married.

I love Ryan so much.  He is a great daddy, husband and my best friend.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Baby!!
