Ryan’s cousin’s wife, Tammy posted this quote by Neal A. Maxwell on her blog the other day. I thought it was worth reposting here.
“Make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters, in the months and years ahead, events are likely to require each member to decide whether or not he will follow the First Presidency. Members will find it more difficult to halt longer between two opinions. President Marion G. Romney said, many years ago, that he had ‘never hesitated to follow the counsel of the Authorities of the Church even though it crossed my social, professional or political life.
‘This is hard doctrine, but it is particularly vital doctrine in a society which is becoming more wicked. In short, brothers and sisters, not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ includes not being ashamed of the prophets of Jesus Christ. . . . Your discipleship may see the time when such religious convictions are discounted. . . . This new irreligious imperialism seeks to disallow certain opinions simply because those opinions grow out of religious convictions.
Resistance to abortion will be seen as primitive. Concern over the institution of the family will be viewed as untrendy and unenlightened….Before the ultimate victory of the forces of righteousness, some skirmishes will be lost. Even in these, however, let us leave a record so that the choices are clear, letting others do as they will in the face of prophetic counsel. There will also be times, happily, when a minor defeat seems probable, but others will step forward, having been rallied to rightness by what we do. We will know the joy, on occasion, of having awakened a slumbering majority of the decent people of all races and creeds which was, till then, unconscious of itself. Jesus said that when the fig trees put forth their leaves, ’summer is nigh.’ Thus warned that summer is upon us, let us not then complain of the heat.”

This is a guest post by Beth’s hubby, Ryan.
Happy Halloween Everyone!
I can’t believe this is Kim’s third Halloween! She was just a ball of pink dressed as Piglet for her first & we didn’t go trick-or-treating on her second.
That’s what made this Halloween so fun! We went trick-or-treating, it was Jeremy’s first Halloween, and we got to do the first of many years of coordinating costumes! As you can see we did Mickey & Minnie. We took these picture and just died with how cute they came out!
Hope everyone had a safe & happy Halloween!
Friends & Family: Be sure to leave links to pictures of your kids in their costumes!

Update on a few more notes that I forgot to include last night:
Beth actually made Jeremy’s costume!
A black long-sleeve onsie + black tights (at least it’s not a full on dress like my mom put me in once!) + red sweats cut into shorts with felt circles sewn on and a shoelace tail + white socks for gloves & yellow socks for boots + the Mickey ears we got last weekend from Disneyland! I think it turned out adorable!
Tip for Trick-or-Treating with little ones
We went with cousins and they were smart enough to bring a little wagon! It made it so much better for the sometimes long walks between houses. The kids didn’t get quite as tired and we didn’t have to wait for little legs to catch up!

I actually got my hair cut like two weeks ago. I just haven’t gotten around to posting the picture yet. So here it is. I like it a lot. It is very easy to do in the morning, only takes about ten to fifteen minutes to do.
Pretty much the consensus was that Feb. 08 was the one I should go with and truthfully that is what I was thinking to start out with, I just needed a nudge in that direction. Thanks to everyone who put their two cents in. Even if I didn’t go with the hair style you suggested I am still really glad that you commented, it helped narrow things down for me.
P.S. Ryan’s got some cute pictures of the babies’ hair over here.
Today I was listening and dancing to Pork and Beans by Weezer. Jeremy is only six months old but I think I am already embarrassing him. He looked at me like this…

Kimberly loves computers. She has an old keyboard that she likes to type on and be just like Mama and Daddy.

She also has her very own makeshift office. She feels very important when she sits at her desk.

Notice the chair covered with the blanket on the side of the “desk.” That is for her clients.
She is also quite the model. And will fall asleep anywhere when she is tired enough.

I know, where are Kim’s clothes? She doesn’t like clothes. As soon as she wakes up in the morning, she takes her jammies off and if we do get her dressed those clothes don’t stay on for very long. Here are some pictures of her with clothes on. Grammie sent Kim and Jeremy some cute clothes. Here they are.

(If you look closely on Kim’s shirt there is a smiley face. She leaned up against the sink in the bathroom. How crazy that it made a smiley face!!)
They are so cute and silly. Don’t you think?
Thank you so much to everyone that has been commenting on what I should do with my hair! If you haven’t commented yet you still can. I will probably be getting my hair done next week though so there isn’t much time left. And of course, I will take a picture and show you first thing when I do!
